This tour is a 360 experience of Swakopmund and its surroundings! Combining our "Old City" Swakopmund Tour and Scenic Desert Tour, giving you a full view and insight of both our charming city and oldest desert in the world. We start off by riding down memory lane, passing some of Swakopmund's historic buildings and landmarks to give the visitor a feel of how our charming town started and why Swakopmund is still one of Namibia's most popular places to visit. We then head off into the dunes to take in the breathtaking scenery of the oldest desert in the world in a fully ecological way without noise or air pollution and even cycling up and down Namibia’s famous dunes from which you will enjoy “once in a lifetime” views of desert, sea and Swakopmund. On our way back we might encounter some camels in the Swakop riverbed. (Depending on the weather, the tour might also start with the desert and end with the city)
Your experienced guide will teach you how to ride a fat bike in the dunes, including how to descend a steep dune! You will also learn interesting facts about the desert and area, with plenty of great photo opportunities while your guide is ready to take pictures of you with your camera. Come join the adventure!
Suitable for the whole family from the age of 7, but must be able to cycle for 2hrs. Although everyone appreciates the amazing scenery, a relative level of fitness and cycling experience is required to fully enjoy this tour. This tour is ideal for the active family and for anyone who enjoys being outside on a bicycle. e-fatbike option only available from the age of 12 or min height of 160cm.
