What a thrill to be able to ride a bike up a dune... never could we have imagined it until the arrival of the fat bike! On our Scenic Desert Tour you take in the silence and breathtaking scenery of the oldest desert in the world while feeling the fresh coastal air and enjoying the thrill of cycling up and down Namibia's famous dunes. Guaranteed to excite and offer an unforgettable and unique cycling experience.

The scenic desert tour is around 11 - 12km long. We depart from our office in the town center and after a short cycle through town, the adventure starts by heading down into the dry Swakop river bed where you will experience the excitement of cycling a bicycle in soft sand with ease. After a few hundred meters we enter with even more excitement the dunes. After a great ride up and down stunning dunes, including some optional exhilarating steep descends, we enter back into the riverbed towards the Atlantic Coast where we will see some flamingos and other birds at the Swakop river mouth.

Your experienced guide will teach you how to ride a fat bike in the dunes, including how to descend a steep dune! You will also learn interesting facts about the desert and area, with plenty of great photo opportunities while your guide is ready to take pictures of you with your camera. Come join the adventure!
